Bubwith


Upon entering Willow House Drive there are two small parking areas to the left and right of the drive. Please park as close to each other in the area designated to your time slot (see image opposite).

If the parking area is full or you are there for a hour please don’t block the driveways and park on the same side of the road the road is 30mph but many speed as its on the edge of a 60mph area so please be extra vigilant when crossing the road.


Changing Rooms

Remove shoes upon arrival on mat outside of the white door.

In the changing area is two open changing areas separated by curtains.

Mens changing is on the left. Women changing to the right. There is a door leading to poolside to the right once you enter the changing area. 


Please come ready wearing swimming costumes under light clothing so you only need to use the changing rooms after your class.


The Pool

Ensure children hold an adults hand prior to entering pool side.

Only enter the water with the swim instructors permission.

Rinse in the showers prior entering the pool and after exiting the pool.

The pool is 5mx10m with a depth of 1m shallowend-1.8m deepend. 

The seating is limited to the left hand side so to one spectator per family. 

No eating on poolside

Spectators are to respect the instructors by not talking or interfere during lessons


What You Need

Long hair needs to be tied up, makeup, earrings and necklaces removed prior entering the water.

All swimmers must wear a swim hat* and goggles are encouraged to be worn.

Babies under 12mths and those with heart conditions need a wetsuit/warm-in-one/baby wrap.

All that are not 100% potty trained please use a double swim nappy system**

Take everything home with you that you brought in, so nappies, toiletries, rubbish ect.

DO NOT put a normal nappy on for swimming as it could split and contaminate the water.

*Fabric hats aren’t as tight as traditional ones and hats are optional for sensory sensitive children.

**including older children. Any accidents in the pool will be charged £100 fine

Pool Rules

No eating in the building.

Spectators are to respect the instructors by not talking or interfere during lessons

Walk around the edge

Talk quietly

Polite and appropriate language only

Positive behaviour towards others keeping our hands to ourselves

Wait for teachers permission to get in and out the pool

Feet first entries only

Only jump in with teachers permission

In general, allow 2-4 hours before your swim, following a larger meal to allow for digestion, and 30 minutes - two hours for a smaller snack. Food and drink are prohibited on poolside and changing areas.

Listen and follow the teachers instructions

Plastic goggles that don’t cover an airway are allowed to be worn

Parents must supervise their children at all times

Shower before and after lessons.

Tie long hair back and wear a swim hat when possible- Fabric ones are available.

Take shoes off by the shoe rack.

Follow NHS guidelines for illnesses. Please be aware our instructors and other customers may have underlying health conditions so any signs or symptoms of COVID 19 please stay at home.

Important information and site rules

-Please  ensure that noise is kept at a minimum.

-In the case of a fire during their lesson their teacher will direct the class to the fire assembly point.

-All parents/guardians need to give an up to date mobile number and house number if they need to be contacted for lesson changes or cancellations.

-If your child suffers any medical conditions please ask your doctor or midwife for advice before bringing them to the lessons.

-Doors are to be kept closed as much as possible in order to maintain the ambient temperature and humidity with the facilities

-Please  ensure that noise is kept at a minimum.

-In the case of a fire during their lesson their teacher will direct the class to the fire assembly point.

-All parents/guardians need to give an up to date mobile number and house number if they need to be contacted for lesson changes or cancellations.

-If your child suffers any medical conditions please ask your doctor or midwife for advice before bringing them to the lessons.

-Doors are to be kept closed as much as possible in order to maintain the ambient temperature and humidity with the facilities

-Any verbal abuse will not be tolerated and can lead to lessons terminated with no refund.

-Dogs are not allowed in the pool facilities.

-The centre has a strict no smoking or drugs policy,

-No food is to be consumed within the pool facilities.

-Persons using the facility accept any responsibility against any loss or damage to property

- Persons accept responsibility against any injury or death caused as a result of not following pool rules, improper use of facilities or failing to follow instruction. Should this be caused by staff negligence or improper maintenance of the site, the complaints procedure must be followed

-Customers are in no way allowed to damage equipment or be a nuisance to others on site.

-Costs of any damage will be billed to those causing said damage.


Booking, Refunds, Pool Closure, Cancelled Lessons 

Bookings

Group and Private bookings must be done by course if you have a holiday booked during the course please refer to Refunds.

Lessons generally run term time only however some additional Summer holiday classes are available.

Pool closure and Cancelled lessons

In the event of a closure we will make every attempt to contact customers as soon as possible. .

In the unusual event of a pool closure, an alternate class day and time will be offered if you do not attend this class you will lose the lesson.

Refunds

Refunds for non-attendance will not be given. However with a minimum of 7 days notice the teacher MIGHT BE able to rearrange the lesson if there is availability on the current course as these missed lessons cannot be used as credits on the following course.

Refunds are not given unless the pool shuts down completely and no other venue can be arranged. A trial lesson can be booked before starting a course of lessons.

Classes missed due to injuries like broken arms/legs can be used as a credit towards your next set of lessons however Emily needs to be notified as soon as possible if notified after the lessons they will be still lost.

Payments

Payments are required to be made as per the invoice sent. Late payments will result in a late payment fee of £1 per day. Non payment will result in the cancellation of lessons in addition to further action.


Complaints

If you have a complaint that has not been dealt with at instructor level, please raise this via email to littlestarinfo@emilyfrances.co.uk under the subject header "Complaint". This will then be investigated and responded to within 8 weeks. Should you not be satisfied with the response received, this can be escalated to the STA.

Cawood Park

Car Park

Upon entering Cawood Park there is a medium sized car park with car parking bays in the main car park however if this is full there is an overflow car park. If you turn out of the main car park the overflow is a little way down the road to the left. Please be careful crossing the road as is 60mph.

Please be careful pulling out of the main car park turn music off and wind down the windows and listen as it is a blind bend and a 60mph road.  

Changing Rooms

In the changing area is three changing cubicles and a disabled changing area/toilet.

The changing area doesn't have a door in between that and the pool so please ensure children don't leave your sight.

Please come ready wearing swimming costumes under light clothing so you only need to use the changing rooms after your class.
